Lenovo introduces ‘Lenovo Comes Home’ Program

Lenovo has announced the launch of its 'Lenovo Comes Home' Program in India for its customers.

By this offer, the customers of the country will now get a1 year onsite warranty on purchase. This will be valid for all Lenovo products. IdeaPad Series of Consumer & SMB Notebooks are also coming under this offer.

As per Lenovo officials the offer is valid from June 1 to July 11, 2010. This offer would cost the Lenovo customers only Rs.199. This 'Lenovo Comes Home' Program was announced by the Head, Services Support, Lenovo India, Mr. Rajesh Lakhani.

PC maker, Lenovo has lunched its new generation touch tablet netbook IdeaPad S10-3t in India. The new netbook can be a serious competitor for the yet to be launched iPad from Apple.

The tablet is among the cheapest ever launched in the country. The IdeaPad S10-3t is priced at Rs. 30, 740 in India. The aggressive pricing could make the device a tough contender against HP Slate and Notion Ink's Adam.

Latest Multimedia Remote with Keyboard Unveiled by LenovoIn another interesting launch in the world of computer equipment, Lenovo has unveiled its multimedia keyboard and remote which will let users control the equipments wirelessly from reportedly as far away as 10 meters. It has been reported that shipping for the same will start in a few weeks.

The bundle is a complete combination of a 2.4GHz wireless keyboard and a track ball mouse.

All-in-one PC launched by Lenovo

Lenovo will soon introduce its new entry into the PC market, the IdeaCentre A600, with the hope to renew all-in-one craze. It launched the product initially at CES this week, and plans to push it in the market by April this year.  

Some of the features of the IdeaCentre A600 are a 21.5-inch screen (with an 16:9 aspect ratio) with just 27mm thickness, which Lenovo claims makes it the slimmest all-in-one PC in the market.

Lenovo to lay off 200 jobs in Beijing

Notebook and PC maker Lenovo Group has announced that it plans to terminate 200 employees at its headquarters in Beijing. The company is taking this step in order to cope with the current economic slump.

According to sources, Lenovo has postponed hiring and proposals to sack contractors at its factories.
