Delhi Metro To Make its longest Bridge Segment

Delhi MetroA 100 metre-long concrete span being developed d to pass over four rail tracks in south Delhi's Okhla area will be the longest bridge so far used by the Delhi Metro, an official revealed on Sunday.

The bridge on the Central Secretariat-Badarpur metro line is erected between Okhla and Jasola metro stations. The 250 metres long segment will possess three spans - the two others are each 75 metre-long.

Indian Railways To Invest Rs 20 Bn On Expansion

Indian railways has disclosed its plans to pump Rs 20 billion to strengthen its stainless steel consumption to 20 million tons a year, and get new coaches and wagons.

As per views of Mr. Pramod Kumar Gupta, Railway Ministry Additional Member (Mechanical), the ministry is in negotiations with transportation companies like Siemens and Bombardier to set up a joint venture (JV) manufacturing unit in the country to make stainless steel coaches and wagons.
