Exxon says BP did not follow industry regulation

Exxon Mobil Corp. CEO Rex Tillerson said there might be a possibility that Gulf of Mexico oil spill might have been cause due to BP taking steps which are considered risks beyond the industry regulation. Federal investigators will probe the matter and decide if the allegation are true.

The BP oil spill off the Gulf of Mexico is considered the worst oil spill in this decade. THe explosion in the oil rig on the 20th of April 2010 killed 11 workers and lead to the destruction of Transocean Ltd.’s Deepwater Horizon drilling rig.

Gulf oil spill off to a bad start say Exxon spill experts

Kent Bowen from Utah said his Alaskan fishing career was destroyed by an oil spill back in his day and warns the public about the new Gulf of Mexico spill. "This is all too familiar a story," said Kent Bowen, "People will never get compensated for what they've [already] lost and all that they're going to lose. My advice for the people on the Gulf Coast: Don't put your life on hold waiting for the oil company to make you financially whole."

Bowen the 58 year old Park City resident said Exxon officials told him "We will make you whole."
