Privacy group EPIC urges regulators to probe Google’s new search feature

In its Thursday filed complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the Washington-based privacy group Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) has sought an investigation by the regulators into Google’s new search feature called ‘Search plus Your World.’

According to the EPIC, the new Google feature, which was rolled out earlier this week, needs to be probed into by the regulators as it not only invades the users’ privacy but also keeps off competitors. The feature essentially allows users to view personal Google+ pictures and updates which show up in their search results.
