More scope in women care, nutritional healthcare segment: Elder Group

The Women's health care segment is supposedly the one that has been kept empty and in order to reap out the entire chunk of benefit, Elder Pharmaceuticals Limited has planned to penetrate in health care and Nutraceuticals (functional food) segment by launching a range of products.

The company officials stated that the 720 crore pharmaceutical major shall offer a diverse range of products in the area of treatment and nutrition that deals with healthcare of women.

Elder Pharmaceuticals signed pact with Daiwa's drugsMumbai-based drug company, Elder Pharmaceuticals Ltd, has signed an agreement with Japan based Daiwa Pharmaceuticals Co Ltd, to sell its products in Indian market.

Elder Pharmaceuticals Ltd has already signed such in-licensing pacts with many international firms including Spain's Laboratorios Farmaceuticos Rovi, U. S.-based Cymbiotics and Israel's Enzymotec.

Elder Pharmaceuticals inks pact with Japanese Drug Firm

Elder PharmaceuticalsIndian Pharmaceutical major, Elder Pharmaceuticals has entered into an in-licensing tie-up with Daiwa Pharmaceuticals Co of Japan for manufacturing and marketing of some of their products in India. 

The company propose to initially launch in the Indian market `IMBRAN`, a novel nutritional supplement which provides multiple immunological health benefits and is sold under the brand name BioBran in over 40 countries including the US and Europe.

Elder Pharma Hikes Equity Stake In Nepal JV To 49%

Elder Pharmaceuticals (EPL) has informed that the company has increased its equity stake in its Nepalese Joint Venture Elder Universal Pharmaceuticals by 9% to 49% for around Rs 60 crore. 

The source close to the company revealed that Rs 550-crore pharmaceutical major had built 40:60 JV with Universal group of Kathmandu in fiscal 2006.
