DOCOMO plans to invest Rs 800 cr in TTSL

DOCOMO is going through an expansion strategy under which it plans to invest Rs 800 crore in India's Tata Teleservices Ltd (TTSL). The amount will primarily be used for expanding coverage with strengthen the quality of the 3G network.

Japan-based NTT DOCOMO said in a statement that it will focus to expand its business presence in rapidly growing mobile markets like India.

Currently, DOCOMO holds 26% stake in TTSL and with its ongoing strategy company is planning to invest additional Rs 800 crore.

Tata rolls out ‘Diet-SMS’ service

DoCoMoTata DoCoMo, the GSM brand of Tata Teleservicers Ltd (TTSL), has introduced a new offer for its customers under which the company will charge one paisa per character in an SMS.

The offer is named as ‘Diet-SMS’.

A TTSL official said in a statement that the company will not charge for the spaces between the words.
