Though, in its announcement, the companies didn’t talk about the financial details that were involved in the deal, sources have revealed that CSC has acquired Applabs at more than USD 300 million.

US based Computer Sciences Corp has launched worldwide cloud based services supported through its data centers around the world.

The company has announced the launch of CloudLab, CloudExchange and CSC Gateway services for customers around the globe. The CloudLab is an environment for development and testing while CloudExchange is a mail and collaboration solution.

The CSC Gateway offers an e-commerce web store and site that simplifies online purchasing and also offers self-managed administration and reporting for host businesses or clients on cloud.

CSC upgrades data centre in Clayton

The IT services major, CSC is implementing upgrade policy for its data centre in Clayton as a part of its plans to invest multi million dollars in Victoria.

The company will expand its floor areas by 20 per cent and also upgrade its power capabilities in the facility. The chief financial officer Wayne Banks said there are also plans to renovate a staff site.

The firm said the Clayton centre has "critical data for Defence and Federal Government agencies and well as a range of local and global commercial clients."
