As per a new study, Cilostazol, a drug used for preventing muscle cramps is found to be more beneficial in preventing strokes than aspirin.

As per earlier studies, the patients who have already experienced strokes, aspirin proves to cut down the risk of secondary stroke by 25 per cent.

Aspirin is the blood thinning drug and its known side effect is major bleeding in the brain, stomach and in other parts of the body. Whereas, Cilostazol is the drug which is more powerful in preventing strokes and does not cause any side effects and moreover does not result in serious bleeding.
