After completing a 24 hour, high pressure testing of the pipeline that caused the Red Butte Creek oil spill, Chevron plans to resume using it on Monday. The testing included pumping water over the weekend into the section of the pipeline, between Red Butte Garden located in the foothills close to University of Utah and the refinery located on the Salt Lake City's northern side. According to officials, the 13.7 mile long section held up about 5 times of the normal under a pressure of 300 pounds per square inch.
