HP group has finally agreed to settle upon with the ongoing battle with BSkyB.

It basically was a legal battle of Electronic Data Systems' (EDS') that pertained to poor performance in offering software solutions for BSkyB.

The fresh reports early this year suggests that the satellite provider was happy with a favorable ruling in the breach of contract case, heard at the technology and construction court.

The case commenced from 2002 and was concluded this week. The EDS has quoted a compensation payout of £318 million for damages, costs and interest.

BBC's catch TV service for iPlayer is being widely discouraged by broadcasting rival BSkyB.

The aim is to offer a search service which is totally different from the common league, which means that if a member feeds in the title of a non BBC show, they would be proffered with a link to the player belonging to the broadcaster that airs that particular show.

However an ardent rival of BBC, the satellite broadcaster BSkyB states that BBC has changed the iPlayer catch up service.
