Sale of Audi in India for the month of June has shot up by 14 percent on Wednesday. The luxury carmaker has now projected a sale of 2,700 cars for the year 2010. It had sold 240 cars in June last year whereas this year it has sold only 233 cars the same month. However the company has recorded a growth of 71 percent for the period January to June 2010 by selling 1,400 cars which is claimed to be the highest sale in a half year in India for Audi.

The all new concept laid by the German makers, Audi states that the concept version of Audi Q7 will complete itself with 62 speakers.

The all new Audi Sound Concept will see the manufacturer's engineers fixing 52 mid-range speakers, five woofers and five tweeters into Q7.

It was further stated that speakers shall reside under the dashboard, ceiling and doors.

Audi claims to employ the "wave field synthesis," an audio rendering technique which doesn't have many compatible audio tracks that are playable with the audio system, thus retaining it as a mere concept.

After Benoit Tiers paved the way for a bright future for the German luxury car major, Audi India in the domestic market, he is now well set to head the Paris market for the auto major as Tiers will be soon taking charge as head of Audi France.

Coming as a replacement for Tiers, Michael Perschke has been appointed as Head of Audi India effective July 1st, 2010. Being a German citizen, Perschke is 42 years old and is married.
