Astra Microwave wins an order worth Rs 81.28 crore

Astra MicrowaveHyderabad-headquartered Astra Microwave Products Limited, has received an order worth Rs 81.28 crore from a Defense Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) entity.

The order involved design, development, testing, installation and commissioning of radar subsystems. The order is scheduled to be executed by year 2009.

Astra Microwave Bags Rs 138 Million Order

Hyderabad headquartered Astra Microwave Products Limited disclosed that it has bagged Rs 138 million order from Antrix Corporation, a commercial wing of India’s department of space.

Under the order, Astra, a leading electronic communications systems maker will supply, install and commission automatic weather stations in 500 locations across India.

Slated to be commissioned by May 2009, the unmanned weather stations will feed live data thru satellite to the Indian Space Research Organization`s central servers on a 24X7 basis.

Astra Microwave signs MoU with US-based firm; Stock registers 13% gain

Astra Microwave Products Ltd has entered into a non-exclusive Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Raytheon Company, USA to identify and explore technologies and products.

The company will also explore possible participation with Raytheon in any resulting offset support for supply of Medium Multi-Role Combat Aircraft to the Indian Ministry of Defense.
