HP buys the security software firm ArcSight

The leading computer maker of US, Hewlett Packard has bought the security software firm ArcSight in a deal worth 1.5 billion dollars. HP has continued its business expansion despite of the controversial departure of its previous chief executive Mark Hurd.

The new target of the company is to provide software for the companies to monitor their data transactions and identify the fraud and hackers. HP will provide 43.50 dollars per share to the shareholders of ArcSight which is 24% higher than the last closing price of the Californian security software firm.
