Afcon gets $240 million contract from Jordon based company

Indian infrastructure company, Afcon Infrastructure Limited has won a $240 million contract from a Jordon-based company, named Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC).

The company is one of the largest suppliers of phosphate in the world and has given the contract to Afcon for constructing a new phosphate terminal.

The terminal will be built of the southern part of the Red Sea Port of Aqaba. Its total capacity will be 4 million tons per year and will have trucking, unloading and handling facilities. It would also provide for other marine terminal facilities as well.
