Samsung releases its first CDMA Android phone
Samsung and Reliance Communications have proclaimed their first Android based phone on the CDMA platform in India, the Galaxy i899. The i899 Galaxy is a 3.2-inch touchscreen phone that has 320x480 pixel resolution. It comes with a 3.2MP camera that has an LED flash at the rear.
The phone runs on an 800MHz processor that allows a smooth and faster running of the device. Other than these the phone offers support for GPS, Bluetooth and divX video formats. It comes with a default 230MB of internal memory expandable up to 32GB using microSD cards.
Yet to touch base coming straight from the Reliance network i899 Galaxy's pricing and availability details are still being decided. In the meanwhile market pundits claim this to be great offering in respect with Android for CDMA players. The consumers on one hand are getting more CDMA handsets to choose from whilst on the other Android gets a room for expansion.
