Himalya International plans to form JV with US Co

Leading food processing company Himalya International has decided to form joint venture (JV) with US company for organic vegetable cultivation and marketing as fresh and frozen in USA.

The board of the company will also discuss ESOP scheme, preferential allotment of 5 million shares / FCD`s and 5 million warrants, to be presented for approval before share-holders during proposed AGM.

Cablevision Ups HD Channel Offerings

Cablevision Systems Corporation, the fifth biggest cable provider in the USA, will add 15 new high-definition (HD) channels by the end of this month to combat the rising competition from Verizon Communications Inc and satellite TV providers.

The New York-based cable television company said that after addition of 15 free HD channels, subscribers will have access to 60 channels.

Bartronics enters into an agreement with LG Electronics’ US arm

Bartronics India Ltd has informed that it has entered into an agreement with LG Electronics' US arm for providing technology solutions to the latter.

Under the agreement, Bartronics would implement the technology in Europe, Africa, West Asia and South Africa. The agreement allows Bartronics to deploy its 'Iris recognition technology' and products in LG's US arm.

3i Infotech completes acquisition of US-based Regulus Group

Software services firm 3i Infotech has informed that it has completed the acquisition of California-based Regulus Group, for $100 million (approximately Rs 429 crore).

Regulus Group is an independent remittance and document processing services provider. The company handles over 2.1 billion paper and electronic transactions annually. It has clients in the insurance, finance, telecom, utilities and healthcare sector.

Regulus operates through 10 processing centres in California, Georgia, Illinois, New Jersey, North Carolina, Iowa and Texas.
