Logitech’s Ultrathin Keyboard Cover for iPad: at a glance

Logitech’s latest offering, an Ultrathin Keyboard Cover for the second-generation and the third-generation iPads, is a single unit offering a blend of the Apple Smart Cover and a full keyboard.

The Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover uses the same magnetic hinge that is used by the Smart Cover to attack to the iPad.

Weighing just a few ounces, the Keyboard Cover is thinner as well as lighter than the new iPad.

After the cover is attached to the tablet PC, just folding it closed transforms the different units into a single unit to take it from one place to another. The aluminum bottom presents solid surface.

The iPad can be used with the keyboard by simply removing the cover from the tablet PC. The tablet PC can then be placed into the slot specifically manufactured on the keyboard.

To prevent the tablet PC from falling off the slot, there is strong magnet to grip the device firmly. The magnet is strong that the whole unit can be elevated by grabbing the top of the tablet PC with one hand.

When the iPad is inserted into the keyboard, it gives a noticeable click, and a distinct sound erupts when the tablet PC is detached from the keyboard.

Logitech is offering the Ultrathin Keyboard Cover for $100.
