The overseas sales have been found to have increased to 34.4% this April compared to last year yet this is less than the 44% mark reached in the last month this year.

April- May 2009 sees earnings of Indian Railways going up

Indian RailwaysTotal goods earnings of Indian Railways have increased from Rs 91.26 billion, during 1st April to 31st May 2008, to Rs93.40 billion in the same period this year, an increase of 2.34%.

Whereas, on originating basis the total approximate earnings have increased from Rs 13.08 billion to Rs 13.26 billion, an increase of 3.34%.
