Google won't remove any pages unless it receives copyright removal notice

Google has confirmed that it's already announced move to make changes in its search algorithms to curb access to pirated content would influence the ranking of some of its search results, but it would not remove any pages from search results.

The Mountain View, California-based Internet search giant said it would remove a page only on receiving a valid copyright removal notice from the owner of the copyrighted-material.

Computer giant Dell on Tuesday introduced new Inspiron Z, R series laptops that come equipped with Intel's third-generation Core processors, code-named Ivy Bridge.

Google agrees to buy Meebo for undisclosed sum

Mountain View-based Internet search giant Google Inc. has agreed to purchase online messaging startup Meebo Inc., saying the purchase would be a great fit for its Google+ team.

Founded in 2005, Meebo helps online publishers in making their websites more social. The Silicon Valley startup confirmed the deal on its official blog on Monday.

Meebo also wrote in its blog, "Together with Google, we're super jazzed to roll up our sleeves and get cracking on even bigger and better ways to help users and website owners alike."

Two US lawmakers have expressed their concerns over the use of social network Facebook by children under 13.

On Monday, Reps. Joe L. Barton (R-Texas) and Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.) wrote a letter to Facebook Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg, asking the young billionaire to address the problem as more and more children under the age of 13 are using the site and sharing their personal information with others.
