Twitter’s new user growth slows but active usage grows

Micro-blogging site Twitter has been experiencing decline in the number of its new user growth but the percentage of engaged users is on the rise, according to a new report from the Pew Internet & American Life Project.

As per the report, around 15 per cent of U. S. adult Internet users used Twitter also, as of February this year. The figure represents a slight increase from 13 per cent in May 2011. In November 2010, the figure was recorded at 8 per cent.
