Bhel Patrons Owe Rs. 20, 000 Crore to the Company

Customers of the Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (Bhel) are reported to owe around Rs. 20, 000 crore in pending payments to the state run company.

It was reported that the company had a total outstanding of Rs. 40, 000 crore. However, 50% of the dues are not still matured for payments because of their connections with the project targets. It is considered as the largest power generation equipment manufacturer of India.

Voltas Ltd on Thursday introduced the world to its 86 new all-weather stock-keeping units (SKUs), with 23 being window air-conditioning (AC) machines.

The Tata Group firm also declared that it would bid goodbye to normal ACs as part of its strategy to concentrate on all-weather ACs.

The company on Thursday unveiled 86 new stock-keeping units (SKUs), with 23 being window ACs.

Pradeep Bakshi, COO of unitary products business group (UPBG) at Voltas, said, "All SKUs are all-weather ACs, and all our future products will be in the all-weather AC category."

Dismantling Fukushima Nuclear Plant might take three decades

Hitachi Ltd. (6501) along with General Electric Co. (GE) gave in a strategy for dismantling the crippled Fukushima Dai- Ichi plant that had been built with their help with Japanese engineers struggling to contain the most disastrous nuclear crisis since the Chernobyl incident.

The proposal even involves Exelon Corp. (EXC) and Bechtel Corp., and according to Yuichi Izumisawa was given in on 8th April 8. Izumisawa is a spokesman at Hitachi based in Tokyo, Hitachi being the second biggest producer of nuclear reactors in Japan. However, he did not specify the elaborate details of the plan.

Fujifilm India has said that it will upgrade all its digital camera models in the country with the high definition (HD) capability. The company offers 14 digital camera models in the country through retail outlets.

The capability will mean that the digital cameras from the company will now be able to connect to definition television (HDTV) systems for both stills and movies and also capture HD movies along with widescreen pictures.
