BSE Sensex closes 130 points lower; NSE Nifty at 4828
Indian Stock markets closed with a loss of 130 points on Wednesday. Markets were range-bound in early trading session and drifted down in the last two hours of trade.
BSE Sensex closed at 16086, down by 130 points while NSE Nifty lost 48 points to close at 4828.
ICICI Bank was among biggest losers in today’s session while HDFC was up by 3.48%. ICICI Bank lost 4.5%. Telecom major Bharti Airtel closed with a loss of 4.24%. JP Associates lost over 3%.
Satyam Computers and Infosys managed to close with marginal gains. Tata Steel and ITC were major gainers among index stocks.
Stock Markets witnessed very strong buying in yesterday’s trading session with markets gaining over 900 points. The rally was seen among all sectors. Banking, Energy and Technology stocks were among major gainers on Tuesday.
